Our Mission:
That the state of North Carolina is one of only a handful of states in the United States that allows for forced annexation of properties by municipalities is shameful. Not allowing citizens the right to self-determination violates the principles upon which this country was founded, and furthermore, it flies in the face of our own North Carolina constitution, which states:
The critical mission of the Stop Woodfin Coalition is to prevent the forced annexation of our area of Buncombe County by the Town of Woodfin.
Secondly, our mission is to see that legislation is enacted in Raleigh that will prevent this cruel action from ever being imposed upon the citizens of North Carolina ever again.
